What is the 2027 Corvette ZR1?
The 2027 Corvette ZR1 is the most powerful rear-wheel-drive Corvette: its twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter LT7 V8 makes 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb-ft of torque, and Chevrolet calls it the most powerful engine ever offered in a production Corvette. It is sold as a coupe or a hardtop convertible in 1LZ and 3LZ trims.
Carbon fiber is part of the standard car: carbon fiber side air intakes and ground effects, carbon fiber inlets on the decklid and a removable visible carbon fiber roof panel on the coupe. Carbon ceramic brakes and Magnetic Selective Ride Control 4.0 are standard too.
The ZR1 sits above the Z06 and below the hybrid ZR1X. The name dates to 1970, when Chevrolet says the first ZR1 arrived as a race-focused performance package for the C3 Corvette. On chevrolet.com the 2027 ZR1 starts at $198,000, against $121,800 for the Z06 and $227,800 for the ZR1X.

How fast is the 2027 Corvette ZR1?
Chevrolet quotes 0 to 60 mph in as little as 2.3 seconds, a 9.6-second quarter mile at 150 mph and a top speed of 233 mph on a track for the 2027 Corvette ZR1 with the available ZTK Performance Package. A ZR1 driven by GM's Brian Wallace lapped the Nurburgring Nordschleife in 6:50.763.
The LT7 is a 5.5-liter DOHC V8 with twin turbochargers and a flat-plane crankshaft, rated at 1,064 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 828 lb-ft at 6,000 rpm, with an 8,000 rpm redline. Chevrolet calls it the most powerful V8 ever in a production car from an American automaker. It drives the rear wheels through an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The ZTK Track Performance Package is the track upgrade. For $5,995 it adds ZTK suspension with Magnetic Selective Ride Control, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires (275/30ZR20 front, 345/25ZR21 rear) and Alcon carbon ceramic brakes with 10-piston front and 6-piston rear calipers and 16.5-inch rotors, and Chevrolet's configurator adds the $12,995 ZR1/ZR1X Carbon Fiber Aero Package with it.
Built for downforce. A flow-through hood, front splitter, underwing and smooth underbody manage the air over and under the car, and Chevrolet says the Carbon Fiber Aero Package's wing, underbody strakes and dive planes produce over 1,200 pounds of downforce, the most of any production Corvette. Buyers can add RPO PBC ($9,995) to hand-build their own LT7 with a master technician at the Performance Build Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

The 2027 Corvette ZR1 has a flow-through hood, large side air inlets with carbon fiber wishbone bezels, rear brake cooling ducts and standard carbon fiber ground effects. It is sold as a coupe with a removable visible carbon fiber roof panel or a hardtop convertible, in 10 paints with 5 wheel designs and 6 painted brake caliper colors, as of November 3, 2026.
The $12,995 ZR1/ZR1X Carbon Fiber Aero Package adds a carbon fiber wing, underbody strakes and dive planes. Standard wheels are 20-spoke forged aluminum in Sterling Silver, with Edge Blue, Carbon Flash and bright machined finishes available, and 10-spoke visible carbon fiber wheels are $15,995.

What is the 2027 Corvette ZR1 interior like?
The 2027 Corvette ZR1 cockpit has three driver displays: a 12.7-inch center console display, a 14-inch Driver Information Center and a 6.6-inch touchscreen auxiliary display. Chevrolet's configurator lists 28 interior color and seat combinations, as of November 3, 2026, including Jet Black Ultimate Suede with Sky Cool Gray, Adrenaline Red, Competition Yellow or Santorini Blue stitching.
The 1LZ comes with 8-way power GT1 or Competition Sport seats, a 10-speaker Bose system and a head-up display. The 3LZ adds heated and ventilated Napa leather GT2 or Competition Sport seats with power lumbar and wing adjustment, the 14-speaker Bose Performance Series system, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with carbon fiber trim and shift paddles, sueded microfiber upper trim and a custom leather-wrapped instrument panel, door trim and console.
Chevrolet lists the Performance App, selectable drive modes, an Enhanced Performance Data Recorder and Performance Traction Management among the ZR1's technology, and the coupe carries 9.1 cubic feet of cargo.
