Elite Tuners of Canada (ETC) has, in four short months, transformed a completely stock C6 Corvette into a 920 HP Gold Rush-colored monster. Fully custom inside and out, you can’t help but be impressed by the sheer effort that must have gone into this bad boy.
Producing 920 HP at the wheels and 700 lb-ft torque, you can imagine that this thing flies. But in all honesty, no one will probably ever see it fly because, well, it’s a show car – chances are this thing will never, ever see the track (personally I wouldn’t want a single bug smashed against a paint job this good). Featuring a widebody kit, modified VIS racing hood, and some extra custom work here and there, it’s definitely an eye-catching design and color. And the ridiculously wide rear 21×13 Pirellis mean that this beast is sure to catch the pavement.
The only thing that irks me about this car is the shameless sponsor decals plastered over every inch of it. I know, I know – these things cost money. Lots of money. And companies will pay well to have their company name associated with something as eye-grabbing as this. So I get the fact that it’s a necessary biproduct of building such an expensive showpiece. But it’s still an eyesore compared to a customized Corvette with a nice, clean finish that an individual owner puts their own money into. Overall though, it’s still a dreamcar no doubt. One that I personally wouldn’t mind taking for a spin.

MotorTrend has just released their in-depth review of the 2011 Z06. Their article and review covers just about everything you’d ever want to know about the Z06, like this snippet here:
“As much as it has to do with the ridiculous power on tap, it’s also the tires. The PS2s are great, but combined with this car’s abilities and an average driver, they’re too good. While they’ll let the right driver experience monumental cornering speeds, the wrong driver will quickly be watching the corner go by through the passenger window. The limits of these tires are extreme, but when you reach them, they let go almost instantly and completely and you’re traveling very, very fast. You’ll be backwards in the weeds before your brain realizes you should be counter-steering.
Don’t be discouraged, though. You’re not incapable of handling the Z06. You just need a lot more training and a lot more seat time. Above all else, you need a healthy respect for what the car can do and for your personal limits. The term “street-legal race car” is overused in the automotive media, but the Z06 truly deserves that title, for better or worse.”

- Slash, former guitarist for Guns N’ Roses, is selling his 1966 Chevrolet Corvette at auction
Personally one of my favorite bands ever, Guns N’ Roses’ legendary (former) guitarist Slash is selling his 1966 Corvette at auction. The auction will be held in Beverly Hills (of course) on March 26, where this sweet ‘Vette is expected to bring in upwards of $100,000.
He’s also selling a 2007 Harley Davidson, but personally I’d rather go for the Vette. But then again, I don’t have 100k to spend on it. But surely someone out there does, and will be able to appreciate this incredible car.
